I've been reading through some posts. I think it should be made where your post must be typed out, because I'm having trouble reading pages and pages of acronyms.
It should be forced to have good grammar. After all, we're not texting. We have keyboards that can type sentences in less than 5 seconds.
Thoughts?

We could add to the warning bar of members to have non-stop bad grammar. And I definitely think this should be a rule that applies to all staff.

The only acronym I would actually allow would be "lol".
Everything else can be typed.
Not to be a total grammar nazi, but this is for the good of us all...

Well, maybe not that strict. As long as you can understand someone's post without having to read it twice. Common acronyms such as lol, should be allowed; I wouldn't say only that one though. What about rofl? lmao? lqtm? (laugh quietly to myself)

Haha, these are suggestions from just a lowly member.
I see no fault in using them, but I just don't like reading more than 5 acronyms a post.

I don't know many texting scronyms... some people have horrible typing skills and I assume they're typos because I can't make sense of their post.

It really doesn't take very long to add an extra 3 or 4 characters to each word to make them whole. It's not like you're in any kind of super hurry all the time.

If you were texting on a phone, that's acceptable... but you're on a keyboard...

Well break the habit... how hard could it be? Normally, I would care. But if you're going to be a mod, member need to understand you easily.
