Twilight, in my opinion, was overrated...
It just seemed unrealistic and so... fan-fiction. The way that everything is worded just seems too cheesy, and it's like this author has this thing for vampires and gets joy out of writing this fasination this main character has for the vampire. Like she wished that was her... which kinda got on my nerves a little bit.
The main character herself annoyed me. Apparantly she doesn't like anyone, blah blah blah most popular girl in school (even though she just moved there?) and has a character who has this weird happy emotion for getting her rejects. Edward annoyed me the more, being seemingly perfect and having lame vampire skills and the statue like character. They apparantly fall in love immediately and 400 pages into the book they're still basically shouting out lines like "Did I tell you how pretty you were?"
Incredibly... annoying. Ugh.

I will admit that all really makes sense! And if you know me well You know im OBSESSED w/ twilight. But it does seem that away. I just cant stand it when people say the reason they dont like it ois cause its gay or sumtin like that. Especially if they have never read the book. But that was a very good post. Its like the truth behind twilight.

I also agree. I mean, I do love the books. But that pretty much sums it up. I guess I over-reacted about Twilight because everyone else was out screaming about it, and of course Robert Pattinson. I probably would have liked the books more if the vampires were different. The vampires in the books don't seem very realistic. I would have liked vampires like the ones from the Underworld movies, more dangerous and blood sucking. The one's in the books seem harmless to me.

Its like the truth behind twilight. It goes both ways, Kara. I asked somebody why they liked Twilight once and they said "Because Edward is hot". You and I both know it's stupid to call a fictional character hot. I have no problem with people liking Twilight just because they like it... but I get so many stupid answers like this from people when I ask them about it. |
